Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Pessac-Leognan 2014 DISCOUNTABLE Light on its feetSmith Haut Lafitte is a Pessac Lognan classified growth estate, owned since 1990 by Daniel and Florence Cathiard, who farm with a meticulous "bio precision" approach on a famous gravel ridge near Chteau Haut Bailly. The 2014 is a charming, well balanced vintage here: Cabernet Sauvignon led (around 60%) with Merlot, a touch of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Now more than a decade on, it's entering a lovely drinking window while keeping plenty in
