The grapes are direct pressed then fermented and aged for one year in large qveri anforas that are buried in the ground
Soil is red-brown loamy clay over sandstone with schist and quartz gravel
2021 Kolfok Querschnitt White Austria Trail Marker mainly from neighbor vigneronne ValérieQuerschnitt means 'cross section' referring to the representation of Burgenland's soils and varietals in one cuvee. Grown organically on volcanic, as well as schist and loam soils surrounding the Neckenmart village. Whole cluster press then 2hr soak and spontaneous fermentation in 1200L oak. Kolfok wines are never filtered or fined.
