Description
Salvia koyamae is a delightful Japanese sage that forms a 2' tall x 3' wide clump in the woodland garden
Hymenocallis durangoensis is another of the wonderful garden worthy North American native spider lilies
Primula x polyantha (Primula veris x Primula vulgaris) can succeed in zone 7
each petal morphing toward yellow near the tips and orange toward the central cone
so we are delighted when we find a particularly showy form
Farfugium japonicum Kinbotan Colored Foliage Salvia koyamae is a delightful(aka: Ligularia tussilaginea) 2022 marks our first offering of the rarely offered Japanese Farfugium japonicum 'Kinbotan'. This speckled leaf leopard plant forms a 20" tall x 2' wide clump that's similar to Farfugium 'Kagami Jishi', but with smaller yellow spotted leaves, which also have more sharply angular leaf ruffling. The evergreen clumps are topped with stalks of yellow daisies starting for us in late October.
