Gras Moutons is a 1. 7 hectare lieu dit on a windy, south facing slope in the Muscadet cru of Monnires St. Fiacre. The sandy clay soils are rich in decomposed amphibolite (compacted sand) rocks and gneiss (granite metamorphized by pressure & heat). The vines are 20 to 70 years old. The farming is certified biodynamic and the all vineyard work including harvest is manual. As for the all Pepire wines, the fruit is direct pressed
