Description
along with slight notes of oxidation that are also present
There is good richness and plenty of volume to the tautly muscled medium weight plus flavors that possess a subtle minerality that continues onto the impressively long finish
While distinctly different from the Santa Cruz Mountain releases
But it’s admirably persistent
The 2018 Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal has notes reminiscent of some wines from the Northern Rhône
Armailhac Vintage:2006 along with slight notes of50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Tasted blind. Blackish crimson. Sweet Cabernet fruit but slightly unformed. Very juicy and a bit simple. Then quite a welter of dry tannins. Not a charmer at this stage anyway. Just a tad brutal.
