Old Hand-carved Folk Art (Sailor Made?) Chair with Interlocking Corners and Secret Rattles Inside brass shoe most notably a MrsAn unusual one, of substantial scale, and delivering a surprise, which is also a bit of a mystery: to jiggle it is to discover that it is rattle but where is the rattling coming from??? ( I think it must be that concealed inside each of those crown of thorns type joints is a small wooden ball or something, because it rattles all over, but nothing visible is moving!) I love that concealment, and the playfulness it lends to this rather formidable
