"The Guide to Happines" Christmas 1848 Punch Paper Embroidery Bookmark vintage w German pottery shoe-shaped and otherwiseQuite an early punch paper embroidery, dated Dec. 25, 1848, and I think a pretty great one, casting the bible as "the guide to happiness" minus one "s". Pretty wreath of greens encircling the book, and lovely silk ribbon for the bookmark too. All in remarkably good condition. Embroidery itself: 3 5 8" x 2". Overall: 13 1 2" x 2 3 8". Very very good condition.
