This lovely effort is very Vosne and the dense but fine supporting tannins are quite sophisticated

a sleeper of the vintage

Happily here there is no reduction present on the ultra-spicy and floral nose where soft wood frames the ripe aromas of various dark berries and plum scents

with a refreshing finish

Generous wood fights somewhat with the ripe liqueur like nose that is comprised primarily by notes of both red and dark pinot fruit that are liberally laced with pungent earth nuances. There is excellent richness to the lush and markedly round medium weight flavors that deliver fine length on the solidly complex and persistent finish. This robust and slightly rustic effort is not quite as structured as the Chaponnires though
