Description
green and white
I think it’s quite a significant document as a portrait of what a young scholar was reading in 1865
and features a full head of pale bristles peppered with a few black ones
and "Abandon Evil Company" (in wonderful gothic lettering) are pages of individual letters and numbers and
located inside the Allegany Indian Reservation
1911 Tramp Art Box with Chip Carved Stacks and Green-Gray Velvet jointed wood green and whiteI typically go for old tramp art boxes completely covered with chip carved layers, but I really like the velvet on the exterior of this one, which appears to be a soft gray green on a few of the sides and more of a gray blue elsewhere, but I think it is probably all the same fabric which just sun faded in different ways, very much to the good in my opinion. I think it all makes for a nice combination of Victorian and folky, but with nice clean lines
