I found these little old squirrel hair brushes at an antique shop in New Hampshire and just thought they were great looking

giving it just a fantastic presence and terrific sense of intimacy and specialness

making for a pair of striking and delightful boxes great for jewelry

with just a bit of wear around a few of the shaker holes

Geometrical Green and Natural Wood Bendy Trivet articulated wooden Pinocchio measures 3 3/4" in diameterThough the wood is very well worn and green stain has faded, I really love this old trivet, which seems to be held together (still very tautly) in its grid by elastic threads, as it is satisfyingly bendy. If not to be used as a trivet, it could serve as a board for so some sort of modified version of checkers! I think I'd keep it on the kitchen counter to use all of the time; it just makes me happy and feels super home y. 6" x 6" x 3 16".
