I'd guess 1920s-40s

each special in its own way

cut close to the beautifully wavering thin black border of the drawing

Time Stopped: Antique Handblown Glass Hourglass with No Armature chess set I've had a few ofI know this is an old one, as I found it along with remnants of an antique hand cut tin lattice sleeve, which would have held it to make it usable (no longer the case.) Which made me realize how lovely an object a liberated (and thwarted) hourglass is when set on its side formally and metaphorically resonant in all sorts of ways! 2 1 2" long. Hand blown, with pontils at either end, and satisfying pinkish brown sand. Nice patina to the surface of the
