I found this one in Massachusetts but I am not sure his history

with dovetail corners

with writing  executed in pen and ink

and just a great presence

Hand-painted Folk Art Pottery Plate with Blue and Green Bird picture blocks I found this one inAnother bird plate, of a very different feather Spanish? Mexican? I'm not totally sure, but I love the primitively painted bird framed with gestural blue and green trails and dabs on all sides. The stoneware earthenware plate is not large but just right for adding a little color to the table or serving oneself a happy treat. 6 3 16" in diameter x 1 1 8" t and in great shape.
