Both look as if they might be right out of a New Yorker cartoon

which are amplifying my desire for a wonderful old wooden desk across the surface of which I'd spread out all manner of vintage desk accessories

--but I don't know for sure

and incised marks to individuate fingers

Whatever the case, perfectly complemented by the abundance of deep plum fruits surrounding them small plums I think (the right sort of greens) looking as they've just been plucked. Then this well bruised banana in front of them, lending a sense of momento mori to it all
