Hand-painted German Paper Masks, Pink on Pink -- Sold Individually 1922 I at least feel quitePretty simple as far as handmade masks go, but quite evocative things I think, and though all more or less the same, to me at least each has its own particular temperament! One finds some similar that were made in Japan, but several others I found these along with are stamped Germany on the reverse, so I believe they are too, and I would guess date to the 1920s 40s or so. Smallish face sized: 5 15 16" t x 4 7 8" wide, measured straight across the back
