1918--I'd guess a class assignment from an advertising design class

and with a bit of loss along the bottom as evident and with some scattered toning spots

When I your love remember / Such wealth it brings / That them I scorn to change / My state with kings

and how the form of the bulge pretty much exactly echoes the form of the body

1 Aston Villa, Footballers in Red and Blue, c. 1960s Watercolor Drawing on Card staple repair jug ) This oneI purchased this drawing from a seller in England, where (I had to look it up) Aston Villa is the name of one of the oldest and most successful football clubs in England. I just fell immediately in love with the red and blue uniforms (plus green for the goalie) and especially the stripes of their socks. Fun faces too. 1960s or so I believe (including based on the uniforms), watercolor on scrap cardboard from a manufacturer of "laminated road springs."
