but haven't been able to make a definitive match

Her mother was a Mackenzie Delta Inuit and her father from Alaska

with a handy six inch ruler on the back

making them  pretty great displayed side by side just as sculptures if not at either end of a row of books

Embossed Leather Trinket Box aboriginal clap sticks each with a Janus-like pairJust a nice little embossed leather, fabric lined box, I think fairly old and likely Italian. I'd guess there was once more vivid color on the top one can still see some red, and the gold painted border near the age remains pronounced but I like how it has faded and darkened with age. There is some wear to the leather especially around the bottom edge and bottom, and some wear and staining to the fabric lining, but overall in good vintage condition
