Description
and turned
I really like its rustic-ness and the simplicity of the form--like a cheerio on a barbell
which came from the same source
native to Canada's Atlantic Provinces and the Gaspé Peninsula of Quebec as well as the northeastern region of Maine
It measures 4 1/2" tall x 2 5/8" wide x 1 5/8" deep
Beautiful Black Glazed Lidded Stoneware Studio Pottery Vessel bulb planter and turnedJust a beautifully crafted, elegant hand thrown lidded pot, which could be used for cooking and serving, or storing odds and ends, or just for display. I think the combination of charcoal black glaze with soft green around the rim of the vessel and lid and on the lid's center handle is just perfect, and together with the form gives it a bit of an Asian feel, though I believe it is American, signed (incised) PAT on the underside. Very nice. 7 3 8"
