The frame is in good shape and wired on the back for hanging

but have it on fairly good authority that these likely date to the 1880s or so

then making this this sketch

Pretty much perfect condition

and then extra handwritten notes at the end

Sweet Old Pair of Wooden Train Cars in Black and White Paint apothecary bottles The frame is in goodSatisfying forms, great old paint, and with the orange wheels on the black one delivering just the right color punch. Surely there were once part of a larger toy train, but just these two now, which I quite like stacked like blocks. Ah the joy of little things. White: 5 5 8" long (not including hook). Black: 4" long. Plenty of scuffs and wear all over, all to the good. Wheels roll along.
