making it a very early example of penmanship instruction
Old Ink Drawing of Trudging Old Man lidded Graphite and crayon on ledgerAged, slow, perhaps blind as well, but yet this old fellow trudges along, so I take him as inspirational! And maybe he's out hunting for antiques to fill his basket! 9 1 4" x 5 7 8", late 19th early 20th c, ink on lined paper. Ink stain along top edge, light corner creases, and light toning that makes it appear a bit as if he is standing in a beam of light.
