The palate is very well balanced and surprisingly well defined considering the heat of that summer

The 2015 Granite Syrah was matured for 18 months in 25% new oak

strangely making me think of Danish pastry towards the well-defined finish

It has moderate alcohol and high acidity

and supple

Isole Olena, Cepparello Vintage:2009 The palate is very wellDeep ruby. Cola like notes complicate aromas of black cherry, rhubarb and cocoa. Ripe, smooth and dense, with velvety, seamless flavors of black cherry, plum and spicy oak. Finishes spicy, vibrant and long. This is very impressive but shows less sangiovese perfume than usual.
