and it reminded me of how infrequently I find modern sculpture of a substantial scale that I really like when I am out hunting for things

At first I thought this was made of concrete due to its whitish crusty surface

Old Handmade Stool with Great Lines in Glorious Original Blue Paint master key I purchased this one fromAmong my favorite stools I've found, in no small part due to this fantastic original blue paint, but also for the its graceful form and lightness on its feet and the not quite perfectly rounded arches cut into its sides. And everything looks pretty sitting atop it. 15" l x 7 1 2" w x 8" t. Earlyish 20th c. I would guess, better in person, sturdy and sound and level.
