Doris Coe's Sep 1906 Hanging Ball in Cage Whimsy model airplane wings which I know came outDoris Coe, Sep 1905 I suppose possibly a gift to a young Doris, but I much prefer to think it was Doris who carved it, and though Doris was sometimes a name given to boys, I'd like to think our Doris was female. A sweet old whimsy, whatever the case, pine I believe, with nice detailing especially to the rounded bottom the "cage". One could string and wear as a pendant now, or hang on the wall from a nail, or just lay it amid the other whimsies in the
