Sailboats on Water, Antique British Monochromatic Ink Wash Postcard handmade truck I really like the combination

I really like the combination of strong straight lines on the black-painted structure with the unpainted zig zag chip-carved decoration inside and in between

13 7/8" long x 1 1/2" wide x 7/8" deep

While it could be displayed flat and/or used as a trivet or a tray

Arts & Crafts + Art Deco + maybe a little Egyptian revival too makes for a wonderful little sculptural vase

Largest cat is 1 3/8" long and the smaller cats are 3/4" long

Sailboats on Water, Antique British Monochromatic Ink Wash Postcard handmade truck I really like the combinationThis ink wash seascape is pretty understated, but I think makes for quite an elegant, and also a bit melancholic, old postcard, c. 1910s British, I believe. The monochrome palette also makes it feel sort of mid way between watercolor painting and black and white photograph, at a time when one was giving way to the other, which for me rather enhances its end of the day feeling. 3 1 2" x 5 1 2" and in excellent condition, with unused back.
