Chateau Marsannay, Chambertin Vintage:2018 (80% whole cluster)(from a . 09 ha parcel). Very generous wood and menthol elements are borderline invasive on the liqueur like aromas of baked plum, warm earth and underbrush scented nose. There is good density and excellent minerality to the attractively vibrant broad shouldered flavors where a touch of mocha surfaces on the reasonably persistent finish. This needs to develop more depth but that should be possible given the tannic spine shaping this wine.
