Description
A blend of 78% Barossa Valley and 22% Eden valley
airy and relatively elegant red berry fruit
This displayed both fairly strong toast and heavy reduction last year from barrel and while the toast is almost completely gone
Indeed this takes the gravity-defying aspect of the best 2005s to a glorious extreme
Really structured and mineral
Schafer Frohlich, Bockenauer Stromberg Riesling GG Brut Zero A blend of 78% BarossaThe 2024 Stromberg GG shows subtle reduction on the nose but also ripe, elegant and very juicy fruit with delicate honey tones and typical spice from the volcanic soil. Elegant and delicate on the palate, with considerable body, this is a very mineral, compactly structured, long, intense and powerful finishing Riesling that still needs a lot of time to develop. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP. Grosses Gewchs in Wiesbaden, August 2025.
