The players embody Fear Eaters; eldritch interdimensional beings that feed on a form of human energy called Essence. A Fear Eaters aim is to be the first to accumulate sufficient Essence to achieve its End Goal. One person assumes the role of the Provider (game master) and is in charge of describing the games world, its inhabitants and their responses to
