It's a great object to hold and use

but I rather like how its simple whiteness now makes him look rather like a butcher

with a cigarette rest on either side--but now would also make a great little tray for business cards

His head measures about 3" wide

It is very faintly stamped Sierra Leone on the bottom and I believe dates to the 1920s or so. (I can just picture Ernest Hemingway bringing this back from one of his African hunting trips.)
