Car maintenance The Virgin Mary Military figure wearing the uniformA few years ago, schoolgirls did needlework and domestic science but today (23rd January 1968) a few girls have lessons in car maintenance in their school rota. The girls, who are pupils at Norwood Girls School, Gipsy Road, West Norwood, are rebuilding an old Ford Popular, plus several engines, regrinding valves, under the direction of their teacher Mr William Clark. 23rd January 1968
