Inscribed below: 'SIR ISAAC NEWTON, when Bachelor of Arts in Trinity College, Cambridge. Engraved by Bt. Reading from a Head painted by Sir Peter Lely in the possession of the Right Honorable Lord Viscount Cremorne'. Isaac Newton was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1672, he served as its President from 1703 to 1727. Original: engraving.
