"Headhunter" Canoe Prow (Ex-Museum) Native American It was originally in theNew Guinea canoe prow for sale! This was originally crafted and used in the Trobriand Islands, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea. Dating back to the early 19th Century, this ornate piece of Massim ethnographic art would have adorned the front of a ceremonial or war canoe. *This specimen was on display at the Prehistoria Museum but has been deaccessioned to urgently raise funds for our operations.*
