I found this standing magnifying glass buried deep in the basement at the estate sale of an avid collector (approaching hoarder) especially of Victoriana
2 1/2" across if arms and legs are positioned straight down
I find this old watch stand incredibly sweet
I especially love the face of the figure and hat held high in a wave to us
It bears some resemblance to the birds produced by Stangl Pottery in the mid-20th century
Early Grenfell Mission Carved Wooden Eskimo Doll futuristic I found this standing magnifyingThis wonderful carved wooden doll would once have been clothed in fur and leather, I believe likely with stuffed cloth legs and booted feet as well, but those clothes are long gone and I personally love it bare where all attention turns to the carved and painted drawn face. Quite a rare thing, it comes from Grenfell Mission in Labrador, a philanthropic organization founded by Sir Wilfred Grenfell in 1892 as a branch of The Royal National Mission,
