Antique Iron Hearts Mat Fragment wooden cube 12" l x 1 1/8"

12" l x 1 1/8" w and in very good condition

with some wear to the wood and finish and  a couple of white spots near the center of one side

and the ball rolls around beautifully

I'm a sucker for a carved dog

Antique Iron Hearts Mat Fragment wooden cube 12" l x 1 1/8"This trivet scale piece would once have been part of a larger mat, with the iron hearts making a useful surface for scraping shoes and boots across. I think it's just the right size as found, lovely just hung on the wall and casting nice shadows, too. 5 1 4" x 4 3 8" x 5 16". Late 19th early 20th century, with nice rusting to the surface of the iron.
