it is fresh and elegant and from a cooler (more Atlantic) vintage with more rain than the average and a relatively late harvest between September 28th and October 12th

This behemoth demands 8-10 years of cellaring but should ultimately reward patient cellaring in a big way

the balance of 20% made up by Pinot Meunier

This is a baby and will become legend one day

Vougeraie, Puligny Montrachet Vintage:2021 The palate is much better(from Noyer Bret and La Rue aux Vaches). Reduction pushes the fruit to the background and renders the nose impossible to assess. On the plus side there is both good freshness and verve to the delicious and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that offer fine persistence on the clean and dry if only moderately complex finish. This too should drink well on the early side while being able to repay a few years of cellaring. (87 90) 2019+
