There is not a whole lot out there about Renate Scheer Kalkofen (1935-2013) who created this stunner of a print in 1962

While the naturally dyed color has certainly faded over time

in a timely way at least

including what almost looks like a carved KH

dating to 1831

Carved of one piece of wood, I'd guess it dates to the 1940s or so. Original white paint, with just very minor loss in a few spots. There are a couple of hairline cracks, top back and left front of seat, which do not have structural impact; it is quite sturdy and sound. 6 7 16 x 4 1 4 x 4 1 8 d and in overall very food condition, with one split as noted
