American Oil on Board 19th Century Northeastern River Scene Landscape Painting toy design They are in excellent conditionI believe mid 19th century on this charming oil on board river scene, and think most likely the river pictured is the Hudson. It is unsigned, and I don't know much more than that, except that it came from the estate of a serious collector of Americana. I really like this bucolic spot at river bend that it frames, with feathery trees on either side, boaters straight ahead, and a structure built into the side of the bank at left, where it looks like a
