A War Merit Cross Second Class With Packet Archive the USS NiagaraTombac, 49 mm, independent original ribbon, all traces of bronzing is gone due to extensive corrosion, as found. Wrapped in tissue paper, in its paper packet of issue, inscribed in black ink "Kriegs=Berdienstkreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwerter" on the front panel, the maker's identification having been cut out of the back panel, separation evident on two sides, lightly soiled, undulated, packet fair.
