Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath topped by a Wehrmacht style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with its left track extending over the edge of the badge, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, measuring 42. 57 mm (w) x 62. 85 mm (h),
