This is a very well-preserved Imperial Japanese Army Enlisted Man’s service tunic
featuring a handwritten signature of Korvettenkapitän Walter Berger
Saxony, Kingdom. An Army Belt Buckle for Enlisted Ranks Newly Listed chipping and crazing evident in(Sachsen Koppelschlo fr Mannschaften). Constructed of gilded and silvered brass, the obverse overlaid by a brass disc bearing a central raised crown, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of PROVIDENTIAE MEMOR (REMEMBER PROVIDENCE) with laurel branches, the reverse with a clip and claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), a scarce example in extremely fine condition.
