Constructed of a silvered alloy, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, wrapped in ribbon, inset with an upward pointing sword, the reverse with a vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 35 mm (w) x 72 mm (h), a scarce example of a commemorative badge worn by members of Deutsche Schutzdivision executed as a larger scale emulation of the units original collar insignia, in extremely fine
