The bald eagle Finish:10-pack to dine with the Grocers'Bird identified by Catesby as 'Aquila capite albo', the bald eagle (modern scientific name: Haliaeetus leucocephalus), with a line drawing indicating 'the size of the Eagles head', and a fish, probably a grey mullet, Mugil cephalus. Plate 1 from volume I of The natural history of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands, by Mark Catesby (London, 1731). Mark Catesby was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1733.
