The Old Whip Brixton Prison in the Rear of Houses'The Old Whip', 1872. The Speaker of the House of Commons, Mr Denison, is seen on the occasion of his retirement. Newly created Viscount Ossington, he wears ermine and is depicted placing a crown atop his wig.
