Constructed of silvered and patinated tombac; the obverse consisting of a wreath of oak and laurel leaves, with a mobile swastika on the bottom of the wreath and an eagle that was separately applied onto the wreath; the reverse plain, with two rivets visible; with a vertical needle style pin, with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch; maker marked with the logo of F. W. Assmann & Shne, Ldenscheid on the reverse;
