Constructed of nickel alloy and iron, consisting of a Cross Patte with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed, silvered, nickel alloy frame, the obverse with three raised central oak leaves, the six oclock arm with the reinstitution date of 1939, the reverse six oclock arm with the initial institution date of 1813, on loop for suspension from its period original
