Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a square oak leaf frame, featuring a depression inset with a white enameled depiction of the Brandenburg Gate bearing an inscription of 1936 XI. OLYMPIADE BERLIN, above Olympic rings, topped by a radiant swastika and raised inscription of FR VERDIENSTE UM DIE XI. OLYMPIADE, BERLIN 1936 (FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE TO THE 11TH
