A round silver medal; the obverse depicting the rightward facing bust of King Maximilian, circumscribed by his name and title; the reverse inscribed DEM VERDIENSTE UM FRST UND VATERLAND (German For merit for the prince and fatherland); on a double loop for suspension; measuring 35. 81 mm in diameter; marked under bust, weighing 19. 9 grams; in overall very fine condition.
