Germany, Heer. An M42 Stahlhelm, with Field Camouflage, by Sächsische Emaillier- und Stanzwerke GTRexclude undated (but known to have(Heer Stahlhelm M42). A Heer M42 Stahlhelm (steel helmet), constructed of a single sheet of magnetic molybdenum steel with the exterior displaying a wartime field applied camouflage paint scheme with a mottle consisting of a dark green green base bearing irregular brown splotches. Three eyelets are distributed around the outer circumference, with one retaining a stud with a pin for the accommodation of the interior fixtures. The crown is flanked on
