Saul Steinberg Art Instruction Mondo has to rescue twoSteinberg's first career retrospective. Steinberg was born in 1914. He studied philosophy and architecture. During the 1930s, Steinberg cartoons began appearing in Italian magazines. By 1940, Steinberg's drawings were appearing in Life magazine and Harper's Bazaar. In 1941, he started appearing regularly in The New Yorker.
