Princess Louise Margaret, Duchess of Connaught bridge Yard The almshouses were founded byPrincess Louise Margaret, Duchess of Connaught, 1900. On 13 March 1879, Princess Luise Margarete of Prussia (1860 1917) married Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught, third son of Queen Victoria, at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
