Spain, Francoist Era. An Order of Cisneros, Grand Cross Breast Star Auction (Souveräner Malteseorden Silberne Verdienstmedaille)(Orden de Cisneros). Instituted in 1944. Two piece construction, in silver gilt with red, black and yellow enamels, a large central eagle superimposed on the obverse, measuring 75. 4 mm (w) x 75. 1mm (h), ornate vertical pinback flanked by dual stays, enamel damage to the 12 and 6 oclock arms, otherwise the enamels are intact, very fine.
