This whiskey does the same. Notes of vanilla, butterscotch, and honey layered with flavors from the cask's predecessor liquid, Canteiro aged Madeira wine. These casks have imparted cooked dark flavors, plums, caramel, and spices from their years in the subtropical warmth.
